Description (field, expectations, comments): The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions set out in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on higher education and science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668) and the following qualification criteria:
- Ph.D. in physics, chemistry or a related field
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
- Demonstrated experience in developing and applying quantum chemistry and physics computational methods
- Documented experience in creating and testing artificial intelligence models and developing machine learning methods in the context of quantum physics and chemistry, as well as experimental physics
- Documented experience in creating an environment and software for quantum-chemical simulations based on AI and ML methods, including defining and creating AI agents, testing methods, and large-scale calculations

We offer employment as a university professor in a group of research staff under the "Polish Infrastructure for AI and Smart Technologies (PIAST-AI)" grant, financed by the European Commission (Establishing an AI Factory and acquiring an advanced Experimental AI-optimized Supercomputing Platform) and from the state budget - the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

Job description:

- Design and development of computational methods, particularly in the fields of physics and chemistry, supported by artificial intelligence methods and machine learning models
- Developing and testing AI models and machine learning methods in the context of quantum physics and chemistry, as well as experimental physics
- Creating an environment and software for quantum-chemical simulations based on AI and ML methods
- Creating and testing AI agents and their suitability for developing new AI methods and models
- Creating an environment for large-scale computation and simulation
- Creating an environment for the practical application of AI, with particular emphasis on strategic sectors: physics, chemistry, healthcare and life sciences, IT and cybersecurity, including quantum technologies, and the public sector
- Implementing AI innovations that increase efficiency, optimize processes, and support decision-making
- Creating an environment and infrastructure for developing AI competencies, e.g., through training, workshops, and webinars
- Provide scientific mentorship and supervision of Ph.D. students
