Campus

The Nicolaus Copernicus University campus in Toruń’s Bielany district is one of the largest and most recognizable university campuses in Poland. Set amidst lush greenery, it combines modern educational, research, and sports facilities with spaces designed to support everyday student life. The campus houses faculties, dormitories, the University Library, the Sports Center, and the “Od Nowa” Academic Culture and Arts Center. The distinctive architecture of the campus, built to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Nicolaus Copernicus’s birth, has long been an important element of the identity of UMK and Toruń. It is a place for meetings, research, development, and integration—open to both the academic community and the city’s residents.
