At Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, innovative research is being conducted across all fields of knowledge. This research is supported by the university’s research centers, many of which are pioneering institutions, such as the Institute for Advanced Studies, which focuses on harnessing the synergies of interdisciplinary research, the Centre for Study and Conservation of Cultural Heritage, which boasts infrastructure and equipment unique in Poland, as well as the long-standing tradition of the Toruń school of conservation; and the National Laboratory for Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics (FAMO), where Poland’s first optical atomic clock was developed.
