Stages of the Intervention Procedure
Reports concerning discrimination or unequal treatment may be submitted either to the Rector or to the Officer for Equal Treatment in any form – in writing, by email or by telephone. A report should include:
contact details of the aggrieved person;
details of the person accused of discrimination, unequal treatment or other inappropriate behavior;
a description of the situation together with any available evidence
Once a report has been submitted, either a standard explanatory procedure or a committee explanatory procedure is initiated.
Stages of the Standard Explanatory Procedure
The appropriate Deputy Rector assesses whether the report is justified.
If the report is found to be unfounded, it is dismissed without further consideration.
If the report is considered justified, the following steps are taken:
A standard explanatory procedure is initiated.
The aggrieved person or reporting person, as well as the person accused of discrimination, unequal treatment or other inappropriate behavior, are informed that the procedure has been initiated.
The relevant Dean, Director of the Doctoral School or Chancellor is informed about the initiation of the procedure.
The submitted evidence is reviewed and interviews are conducted with the persons involved in the procedure.
A report documenting the course of the procedure, together with recommendations, is prepared
The report is submitted to the Rector and to the persons involved in the procedure.
The Rector makes a decision regarding the matter under review.
Stages of the Committee Explanatory Procedure
A committee explanatory procedure is initiated in more complex cases.
A recommendation to initiate a committee explanatory procedure is submitted to the Rector.
The Rector informs the persons involved in the procedure, as well as the relevant Dean, Director of the Doctoral School or Chancellor, that the procedure has been initiated.
Committee proceedings are conducted.
The aggrieved person or reporting person, as well as the person accused of discrimination, unequal treatment or other inappropriate behavior, are informed that the procedure has been initiated.
The submitted evidence is reviewed and interviews are conducted with the persons involved in the procedure.
A report documenting the course of the procedure, together with recommendations, is prepared.
The report is submitted to the Rector and to the persons involved in the procedure.
The Rector makes a decision regarding the matter under review.
