Tips during your stay

It is important to notice that the Department of International Partnerships and Educational Mobility - DIPEM ("Erasmus Office") takes care of Erasmus+ students in terms of formal issues and administrative and organisational matters, such as providing information on application and accommodation procedures, organising the Orientation Week etc. However, all academic and didactic matters connected with the recognition of ECTS, the choice of subjects, or the preparation of Transcript of Records are dealt with by your Faculty Erasmus Coordinators and Dean's Offices.

  • The language of instruction at NCU is mainly Polish; consequently, if you wish to find out more about special courses in foreign languages please contact your Faculty Coordinator. More information here .
  • If you need to go to the Dean's Office (DZIEKANAT) or to deal with some other formal issues, we advise you to ask a Polish friend to assist you, especially when you feel that your language skills are not good enough.
  • If you would like to prolong your stay in Toruń or in Bydgoszcz e.g. during holidays, please check the availability of rooms in the Student Dormitory. If you study at NCU in the winter semester, your room is booked since the beginning of October until the mid-February, whereas, students coming for the summer semester have their rooms booked between the mid-February and the end of June. During the summer months, many dorms all over Poland turn into cheap hotels with ample space to put you up in case you can't get enough of the country.
