The representatives of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń participated in the inauguration ceremony of the "Chinese Holistic Integrative Pharmaceutical Alliance - CHIPA" at the Guangdong Pharmaceutical University in Guangzhou in China.

The ceremony was accompanied by the conference "Holistic Integrative Pharmaceutical Forum", the main theme of which was developing integrative pharmacy and building healthy China. The conference was attended by over 200 participants, including many rectors of Chinese universities, dozens of representatives of pharmaceutical companies and foreign guests. The organiser of the ceremony was the Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine and the Gunagdong Pharmaceutical University.

The primary objective of the Chinese Holistic Integrative Pharmaceutical Alliance - CHIPA is to strengthen the exchange and connections between counterparts in the field of pharmaceutical education, research, production, circulation and management at home and abroad; to promote the integration of pharmaceutical education and industrial development, cultivate integrative pharmaceutical talents who have international vision, rich humanistic spirit and comprehensive innovation ability. It also promotes the transformation and application of the state of art pharmaceutical knowledge and the most effective practical experience in new drug research and development, accelerates more industrialization of innovative drugs made in China which have independent intellectual property rights, establish large data of clinical pharmacy suitable for Chinese population, finally it can make a contribution to project people`s health.

In addition, foreign guests were invited to visit: Guangdong Metabolic Disease Research Center of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine, the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Museum of Chinese Material Medicine, Key Laboratory of Digital Quality Evalutaion of Chinese Materia Medica, the Institute of Drug Clinical Trial, Guangdong Metabolic Disease Research Center of Interneted Chinese and Western Medicine and Shennong Herbal Garden.

The official opening of the CHIPA took place on December 11, 2017.
