The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions set out in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on higher education and science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668) and the following qualification criteria:
- A doctoral degree (PhD) in chemistry, physics, or a related discipline.
- A documented research record in theoretical chemistry, quantum chemistry, and/or molecular modeling, evidenced by publications in international journals.
- Leading authorship in scientific publications (first and/or corresponding author).
- Documented long-term research stays outside the home institution (the institution where the PhD was obtained).
- Familiarity with quantum chemistry and molecular modeling methods and tools.
- Documented experience in modeling nonadiabatic processes and excited-state molecular dynamics.
- Experience in applying machine learning tools in quantum chemistry.
- Experience in organizing international scientific initiatives (e.g., schools, workshops, conferences) and in building research collaborations.
- Teaching experience, particularly in teaching students in the exact and natural sciences, and/or experience in mentoring students or early-career researchers.
- Experience in applying for research funding/grants.
- Willingness to conduct research in an international environment and to work as part of a research team.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English, sufficient to conduct classes and prepare scientific publications.
- Additional assets (Preferred qualifications):
- Documented experience in the development and implementation of quantum chemical methods.
- Documented programming experience.
- Presentation of a defined research plan and scientific career development trajectory.
Candidate evaluation:
The evaluation of candidates will particularly consider the quality and originality of their research record, their contribution to the development of research methods or concepts, and the coherence of their proposed research program.

Additional information: Documents must be submitted by June 8, 2026. The results of the competition will be announced by June 10, 2026. The planned starting date of employment is October 1, 2026. The University does not provide accommodation.
Please be informed that the person selected through the competition will be obliged to submit a certificate from the National Criminal Register with regard to offences specified in Chapters 19 and 25 of the Penal Code (including offences against sexual freedom and morality), in Article 189a and Article 207 of the Penal Code and in the Act on Counteracting Drug Addiction of 29 July 2005 (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1939 and of 2022, item 2600), or for the corresponding offences defined in foreign law.
