Description (field, expectations, comments): The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions set out in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on higher education and science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668) and the following qualification criteria:
1. PhD in physics /optics /electronic engineering /mechanical engineering / computer science or related fields obtained in 2019 or later.
2. Experience in biophotonics imaging techniques.
3. Skills in image and signal processing and analysis (e.g. using tools such as Matlab, Python and Labview).
4. Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written) and excellent presentation skills.
5. High motivation and enthusiasm for scientific work in a multidisciplinary team.

Additionally, the following will be strongly advantageous:

6. Experience with optical coherence tomography or related imaging techniques.
7. Experience in clinical work in biomedical imaging.

Period of employment: 24 months, with additional extensions based on work results

Position starts in: no earlier than June 2026.

We offer employment at a postdoctoral level in a research grant financed by the National Science Center, Poland through the MAESTRO competition. The project is implemented at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń at the Institute of Physics, at the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Informatics, at the Department of Biophotonics and Optical Engineering

Remuneration: 140 000 PLN/year gross gross (full remuneration cost, including full social security and health insurance), approximate amount of net salary 7 300,00 PLN/month
