Description (field, expectations, comments): The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions set out in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on higher education and science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668) and the following qualification criteria:
Requirements:
Bachelor’s and Master's degree in Classical Studies (certified copy of the diploma required);
- Master's degree in Classical Studies (if someone graduated from 5-year uniform master’s degree studies; certified copy of the diploma required);
- PhD in Humanities or PhD dissertation (at an advanced stage; the dissertation supervisor’s opinion is needed)
- research focusing on one of the following fields (preferably on ancient Greece):
o literature of ancient Greece and/or Rome
o reception of ancient culture of Greece and/or Rome
The following criteria will be also considered in the recruitment procedure:
- research and academic output (the candidate is requested to provide a research development plan)
o publications in reviewed magazines and journals, particularly in renowned publishers and international journals (enclosing copies of three selected publications is required);
o active participation in international academic and research conferences
o managing grant projects/ participating in research grants' / submitting research grants
o experience in international academic cooperation (e.g. research internships, academic grants, etc.
- teaching experience
o teaching Latin/ Old Greek (preferable) and/or culture of ancient Greece and Rome
- teaching in Polish and English
- good knowledge of English (in speech and writing; interview with candidates shall be conducted in whole or in part in English)
- experience in promoting culture of ancient Greece and Rome.
