The aim of the conference is to present scientific achievements, detect gaps in the field of the historical climatology of the area of polar regions based on early meteorological observations, history, dendroclimatology, paleolimnology, geophysics, geomorphology and other sources. Conference topics includes among others: sources of paleoclimactic information, the climate of the polar regions in the last millennium and its changeability, causes and effects of climate change in historical times.
