ABOUT

The Open Clusters Survey is the scientific program the goal of which is to determine basic astrophysical parameters that describ the structure, dynamics and evolution state of open clusters. The statistical relations between some parameter sets are studied and compared with theoretical predictions. The survey bases on the wide field BV CCD photometry obtained with the 90/180 cm Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope of the Centre for Astronomy of the Nicolaus Copernicus University and other instruments. A dedicated search for variable stars in fields of selected clusters is also performed. The main goal of the survey is to learn the open cluster parameters better through investigation of the population of variable stars that are probable cluster members.
