Survival Guide for Visitors - Registration at NCU

ERASMUS students are exempt from tuition fees. During the Orientation Week (which starts at the beginning of each semester, in October and mid-February), there is a special meeting with the staff of the International Programmes Office in Toruń (ul. Gagarina 11; tel. (+48 56) 611 49 28, incoming@erasmus.umk.pl) or in Bydgoszcz (ul. Marie Skłodowskiej-Curie 9; tel. (+48 52) 585 36 91, erasmus@cm.umk.pl). On that day, each student is provided with the following documents:
- Student Identification Card (LEGITYMACJA STUDENCKA) that entitles you to access all university facilities (libraries, clubs, cafeterias) and to reduced fares on all means of public transport and other discounts (e.g. at the cinema, swimming pool etc.). In Poland, LEGITYMACJA STUDENCKA is valid for all means of transport on condition that a student is no more than 26 years old!
- Examination Chart (KARTA EGZAMINACYJNA) to register your credits and grades obtained at NCU
- Certificate "Yellow Chart" that should be stamped at university libraries and a student dormitory and returned to IPO before your departure. It proves that you have returned all books and paid all rents for your room.
During the Orientation Week, each Erasmus student is asked to open a student e-mail account on the NCU students server. Having such e-mail account is necessary to enroll for the courses at the particular faculty or even to use the Internet in the student dormitory or wireless network in the NCU buildings.
