The International Programmes Office (IPO) is responsible for European Educational Programmes such as the Lifelong Learning Programme (including the Erasmus programme) as well as for European Research Programmes including Framework Programmes and Marie Curie Actions.
The office also promotes other international programmes: YOUTH, CULTURE 2007-2013, MEDIA+, e-CONTENTplus, NATURE 2000, DAPHNE. The IPO implements activities concerning the internationalisation and harmonisation of education according to the Bologna Process and Lisbon Strategy.
Regarding the Erasmus programme, the IPO takes care of administrative and organisational matters such as:
- application procedures for incoming and outgoing students
- helping with providing accommodation for incoming student
- organising orientation weeks at the beginning of each semester, intercultural workshops, Erasmus Quarters, during the academic year
- helping with the coordination of a special course in English "Poland in East Central Europe. Past and Present"
- helping with the organisation of special meetings and trips for incoming students
- preparing and signing Confirmations of Erasmus Stay before the departure of an Erasmus student
- carrying out assessment questionnaires among Erasmus students concerning their Erasmus stay in Toruń or Bydgoszcz or abroad
